Dear Fresno County District 2 Voters,

I have enjoyed serving the Fresno community as a councilmember for the past 7 years, but after two terms in office, my Fresno City Councilmember position will end December 31, 2008. As a result, I have decided to declare my candidacy for County Supervisor – District 2,
representing residents of central and north Fresno and parts of Clovis, and ask for your support so that I can continue to provide leadership to Fresno County.  As a registered Independent, you can count on me to be nonpartisan, fair, representative of you, and accessible. I have already visited the homes of 15,000 voters and hosted 175 corner coffee stops since I announced my candidacy on my June 14, 2007,  and I will continue to walk door-to-door every day and host my coffee stops until election day, June 3rd.   As I meet you at your door or at one of my coffee stops, I hope to earn your confidence, respect, and ultimately, your vote.

As a City of Fresno Councilmember, I have worked very hard on a wide variety of issues facing my district, the City of Fresno, and the Fresno-Madera region, and I would like to continue my work as a County Supervisor. Public safety, job growth, financial planning, and quality-of-life issues still remain my top priorities, but in addition to that I have a regional perspective and a plan for our future that goes far beyond these issues.

I encourage you to take a look at my website so you can learn more about me and my plan for Fresno County. I would be pleased to meet you, your family, your friends, members of your organization, or your business associates at a convenient time and location. Please contact me anytime by phone (559-432-2779) or by e-mail.

Sincerely,

Brian
